For fun, I remixed “Simon’s Theme” from Castlevania IV. I’ve had the remix in mind for a few years, just never got around to it until now. It came out exactly as I envisioned it. In case it isn’t already apparent enough, I was going for a “Ghosts ‘n Stuff” sound, to the point that I used the original Vengeance samples and even downloaded the retired Native Instruments B11 organ synth used by deadmau5, customizing the preset and layering it with Sylenth1 to create a somewhat unique sound. The MIDI was mostly retrieved from a MIDI file of the entire song, and some of the sounds are from a Soundfont using the original SNES chipset sounds. I hope you enjoy it.
